5 AWESOME Must Expereince Activities at LEGO KidsFest
Go ahead sing it with me.
Everything is Awesome! Everything is cool when you are part of a team!
Yes! Everything is awesome at LEGO KidFest is the official LEGO Event that is supported and authorized by The LEGO Company. This is legit, people! This interactive LEGO extravaganza travels throughout North America and brings all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in an activity and entertainment-packed family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests.
In 2016 they will be making stops in:
- Charlotte, NC
- Harrisburg, PA
- Kansas City, MO
- Louisville, KY
- Milwaukee, WI
- Houston, TX
- Cleveland, OH
There was so much awesome in one convention center but I wanted to point out 5 MUST EXPERIENCE activities when you attend LEGO KidsFest that will make your experience so AWESOME!
Take so many pictures with all the wonderful LEGO models. Look for the ‘Model Museum’ on your map and a LOT of them will be located there. But keep your eyes open for them to be scattered throughout the arena. If you take a picture you can use #LEGOKidsFest on all social media to see who is having an awesome time.
Big Brick Pile
Seriously. It is a big pile of Lego bricks. It is the equivalent to pigs in mud but it is kids in bricks and there is no mud involved. Go for a swim, challenge yourself to be a Master Builder and just roll around in the awesomeness of a sea of brick.
Just be sure to shake out your pockets when you get up. The bricks end up EVERYWHERE!
Get creative with one by ones and leave your creative mark on the Gallery Wall.Be inspired by others and participate in the community of creative brick layers in a community art project.
Star Wars: Hanger Bay Relay Race
Let your kids burn off some energy with a relay race. Race against 4 other teams in a relay race to construct a LEGO ship for StarWars. Don’y worry about being a Master Builder because even the littlest of builders can search and find their piece to the puzzle. There are prizes for the winner! Well, everyone get a prize but son’t let that take away from the fun of the race!
Keep your eyes open for the photo booth. The photo booth that was available for us in Harrisburg was the Lego Disney Princess booth. The photos are included with the price of your ticket. (This booth is not to be confused with the other green screen photo opportunities that are not included in your admission ticket.)
Hint: Have the littlest kids sit on their knees or stand on the bench (supervised of course!) when you get in the booth. If they are too short they may not make the photo if they are seated.
Red Stars On Your Map
Keep your eyes open for red stars on your map! Be sure to visit each area that has a red star because you get a prize for participating! Who doesn’t love a LEGO prize!?
Visit the Santoki booth and check out the stationary, pens and markers that ‘play nice’ with your Lego bricks. They are available for sale in the LEGO store but they were already sold out by the time we got there.
